Prof. Khanduja is a global leader in both the preservation and arthroplasty aspects of hip
surgery, with a particular interest in arthroscopic hip surgery, and was instrumental in
setting up the tertiary referral service for young adults with hip pathology in Cambridge
for the East of England. He qualified in 1997, trained on the North Thames rotation and
gained his FRCS (Orth) in 2005, followed by subspecialty fellowships in London,
Cambridge, Zurich and New York. His research centres on optimising the arthroscopic
management of femoroacetabular impingement, and he has authored over 200
peer-reviewed articles and three books. He is President of SICOT, a BOA Council
member and trustee, and Past President of the British Hip Society.
